Le Monte G. Booker Sr. has been appointed as the new president and CEO of Newfields, the Indianapolis Museum of Art, making him the third leader in four years for the institution. This change follows a series of controversies surrounding prior leadership and diversity-related issues, including the resignation of the previous leader after less than a year. Booker, previously the CFO of the Field Museum in Chicago, expressed his eagerness to work with the board and staff to advance the museum's mission.
