Lloyd Macklowe, a prominent antiques dealer known for his expertise in Arts Nouveau and antique jewelry, passed away at the age of 90. He and his wife, Barbara, started their journey in the antiques business in 1965 when they sought to furnish their New York apartment. Over the years, they built a distinguished gallery that became a leading dealer of art from the Louis Comfort Tiffany studio and placed significant pieces in major museums including the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Mr. Macklowe retired in 2019 but left a lasting legacy in the art collecting community.
