The U.S. Postal Service plans to increase stamp prices five times by the end of 2027. The first expected hike will occur in July 2025, affecting rates for all market-dominant classes, which include First-Class mail. The most recent rise took place in January 2024, when prices for Forever stamps went from 66 to 68 cents. USPS aims to use its pricing authority judiciously to achieve financial self-sufficiency and improve service reliability according to its 'Delivering for America' plan.
