A former Harrods executive, Niegel Blow, claims that his hiring as CEO of Fenwick was retracted because of concerns over his previous association with Mohamed Al Fayed, who is facing serious sexual assault allegations. Blow insists he never witnessed any misconduct during his time at Harrods and believes the decision by Fenwick is unjustified and potentially breaches his contract. He also criticized the BBC's coverage linking him to Al Fayed’s actions. Fenwick, which operates several stores in the UK, has remained silent on the matter, and Blow is currently the CEO of another department store, Morley's.
