London Underground: Tube drivers to strike over pay

London Underground train drivers, along with instructors and engineering staff represented by the Aslef union, are set to strike on specific dates in November due to a dispute over pay. The Aslef union is seeking a better pay agreement than the currently proposed 3.8% increase, which they argue is lower than what other transport services under TfL are offering. Concurrently, the RMT union has also announced strikes over what they call inadequate pay offers, involving around 10,000 members. Transport for London (TfL) expresses disappointment over the strikes but states that discussions have been conducted in good faith and their revised pay offer benefits lower-paid staff significantly.
