Deeproute.ai, a Chinese autonomous driving startup, has raised $100 million in funding led by Great Wall Motor. The company's CEO highlighted its strong partnership with Nvidia, emphasizing the use of Nvidia's Orin and upcoming Thor chips in their systems. Deeproute currently operates in over 20,000 vehicles in China and aims to significantly increase that number. The startup is also positioning itself alongside competitors like Tesla in utilizing AI-driven approaches to enhance its driver-assist technology, without relying on detailed HD maps, which can be costly to produce.
