The Onion plans to relaunch Infowars as a parody site, targeting internet personalities promoting conspiracy theories. The acquisition of Infowars by The Onion may initially cause some volatility in media and satire-related stocks, as The Onion brings a unique approach to controversial content. However, the backing from anti-gun violence organizations may attract additional attention and advertising revenue for The Onion, positively impacting its brand presence.
