The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) has released a study showing that Jewish and Israeli American job-seekers face significant discrimination in the U.S. labor market. Research found that Jewish applicants had to send 24.2% more applications than candidates with Western European backgrounds to receive the same number of responses from employers. Those with Israeli-sounding names required 39% more applications for similar results. The findings highlight a troubling trend of discrimination that coincides with rising anti-Jewish sentiment amidst increasing antisemitism in various forms.
