BuzzFeed has agreed to sell the company behind its popular show 'Hot Ones' for $82.5 million, which will help the company reduce its significant debt, allowing it to ease financial pressures. The sale involves a group led by Soros Fund Management, along with show host Sean Evans and others. This transaction will help BuzzFeed alleviate its debt from nearly $124 million down to $35.2 million and restructure its business focus towards technology and AI for content delivery after previously downsizing and facing declining stock values post-initial public offering.
