With over 150 commercial wineries in Denmark and 47 in Sweden, the industry has grown from a niche hobby to a budding business, driven by innovative grape varieties like Solaris that are suited for colder climates. The industry is still in its infancy compared to traditional wine regions, facing challenges like high production costs and market competition. While local wines are gaining attention, they remain expensive and represent only a small fraction of the market.
