‘Bluey’ Is Headed to Theaters, Backed by Disney

BBC Studios and Disney are teaming up to produce an animated movie based on the popular children's character Bluey, set for release in theaters in 2027. The movie will be created by the Australian studio Ludo, which produces the Bluey TV show. This collaboration reflects Bluey's immense popularity, having streamed over 50 billion minutes in the US in 2024, making it the top streaming show. The creator, Joe Brumm, will write and direct the film but will step back from the series as he focuses on this new project.
