Chevron, Engine No. 1, GE Vernova team up to build US data centers

Chevron, Engine No. 1, and GE Vernova have joined forces to create a new company focused on providing scalable and reliable power solutions for U.S. data centers using natural gas. The partnership aims to develop the first multi-gigawatt power plant that will be co-located with data centers, providing energy equivalent to that used by over 3 million homes. The project, set to be operational by the end of 2027, will enhance energy reliability and include carbon capture and renewable resources. This venture is tied to U.S. energy policies promoting domestic resources and aims to strengthen jobs and national security.
