Al Fayed: Watchdog to review police handling of abuse claims

The Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) is set to review the Metropolitan Police's handling of sexual misconduct allegations against the late Mohamed Al Fayed, former owner of Harrods. Investigations from 2008 and 2013 are under scrutiny, particularly due to claims from over 400 women who allege the billionaire sexually assaulted them. The police's failure to forward 19 of these cases for prosecution is a major concern, raising questions about the investigations' effectiveness. Following a recent documentary, these allegations have gained more attention and scrutiny.
