The Body Shop has been rescued from administration by the Auréa Group, led by British cosmetics entrepreneur Mike Jatania, securing the future of 1,300 workers. The deal includes 113 UK stores and assets in Australia and North America. Auréa Group plans to focus on product innovation and improving customer experiences without immediate store closures, but will evaluate the store footprint over the coming months. The Body Shop was founded in 1976 but has struggled financially in recent years, leading to its auctioning off and eventual acquisition by Auréa Group.
