Cathay Pacific has cancelled nearly 70 flights due to an engine component failure in its Airbus A350 fleet, which has been determined to be caused by faulty parts in 15 of its aircraft. The airline's operations will continue to be disrupted while inspections and repairs are carried out, affecting routes to several major cities. Other airlines using the same engine type are also taking precautionary measures, though they report no direct impacts on their operations so far. Rolls-Royce, the engine manufacturer, is cooperating with Cathay and other airlines to address the issue and has committed to improving its engine range.
