Congestion charge: Electric van owners ask mayor to keep discount

Over 40 businesses in London are urging the mayor to continue exempting electric vans from the congestion charge, which is set to be implemented at £15 a day starting this Christmas. They argue that this cost would hinder their transition to cleaner vehicles, despite their efforts to reduce air pollution and climate impact. The businesses, including notable names like Ocado and the AA, fear this change will undermine their investments in electric fleets and call for more support for green initiatives.
