Proposed changes to workers' rights include immediate unfair dismissal claims for employees, reformed zero-hours contracts guaranteeing hours after 12 weeks, mandated flexible working requests for all employees, and improved sick pay provisions from day one of illness. Additionally, unpaid parental and bereavement leave will be accessible to all employees from their first day. However, some measures from Labour's 'Make Work Pay' plan, such as the 'right to switch off', are not included in the bill.
