Spanish state-owned shipbuilder Navantia is in exclusive negotiations to acquire Harland and Wolff, a historic shipyard in Belfast known for building the Titanic. The acquisition comes after Harland and Wolff's holding company faced administration, although its operational yards continue to function. Navantia, which has existing contracts with Harland and Wolff to build Royal Navy support ships, aims to complete the deal by the end of November 2024. This acquisition could provide necessary investment and stability for Harland and Wolff as it attempts to scale its operations.
