Instagram testing tool that removes all recommended posts

Instagram is testing a new feature that allows users to completely reset their content feeds, removing algorithmically suggested posts. As part of a range of initiatives designed to enhance user wellbeing, this feature will be globally available soon. The move comes ahead of the UK's Online Safety Act, aimed at giving users greater control over their online experiences. The UK media regulator, Ofcom, supports these changes but urges for more robust measures. Similar to TikTok, this feature provides users, including teens, the opportunity to refresh their feeds easily.

This new feature may lead to increased user engagement on Instagram as users have more control over their feeds, potentially improving user retention and attraction of new users concerned about online safety and content curation.
