The recent vice-presidential debate between Senator JD Vance and Governor Tim Walz attracted 43.1 million viewers, marking a decrease from the previous 2020 debate which had 57.9 million viewers. The 2024 debate still ranked as one of the year’s most-watched live events. CBS hosted the debate, achieving the highest audience among the networks, while Fox News led the cable networks. Notably, a large portion of the audience (29.7 million) consisted of viewers aged 55 and older.
