Newsmax and Smartmatic Settle Defamation Case Over 2020 Election

Smartmatic has settled its defamation lawsuit against Newsmax just as jury selection for the trial was beginning. The lawsuit accused Newsmax of spreading false conspiracy theories linking Smartmatic to the 2020 election results. The settlement details remain confidential. This comes after Smartmatic also recently settled a similar defamation case against One America News Network.
