Qantas sells cut-price first-class fares by mistake

Published On Aug 26, 2024, 6:24 AM

Qantas Airlines accidentally offered significant discounts on first-class fares due to a coding error, resulting in around 300 passengers booking tickets at 85% less than the normal price. The airline is now rebooking these customers into business class for free or offering them a full refund. This incident highlights past occurrences where airlines have mistakenly sold tickets at a fraction of their real price, sometimes choosing to honor such sales while other times opting to cancel them.
