Several states have initiated rebate programs to promote energy efficiency in homes, following New York's lead. The Inflation Reduction Act allocated $8.8 billion for these rebates, allowing homeowners to receive up to $8,000 for home efficiency improvements and up to $14,000 for electrification. While many states are actively participating, South Dakota is the only state that has opted out. Florida, after initially rejecting funds, is now preparing to implement its rebate programs.
