Trump Media & Technology Group, the parent company of Truth Social, has filed a trademark application for a cryptocurrency payment service named TruthFi. This move indicates an attempt to diversify their business from a solely social media focus. Additionally, the company appears to be in talks to possibly acquire the crypto trading platform Bakkt. Following the trademark news, shares of Trump Media rose about 2%.
