The International Longshoremen’s Association has suspended a strike at East and Gulf Coast ports after receiving a new wage offer from employers that will increase wages by 62% over six years. Though this offer is lower than the union's initial demands, it is a significant improvement from previous proposals. The union will continue discussions to address remaining issues while extending their current contract until January 15, 2025.
