Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg expressed regret over his company's previous actions regarding content moderation on Facebook and Instagram, particularly during the pandemic and prior to the 2020 election. He claimed that pressure from the Biden administration led to the removal of certain content, including humor and satire, that he believes should have remained online. Furthermore, he acknowledged that they mistakenly demoted content related to Hunter Biden's laptop story based on an FBI warning about potential disinformation. He emphasized that going forward, Meta will resist similar government pressures. Zuckerberg also noted that he will not contribute to electoral infrastructure funding in the future to maintain perceived neutrality.
