Meta Platforms, which owns Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp, faced a significant outage affecting users globally. Over 22,000 issues were reported for Facebook and more than 18,000 for WhatsApp, with problems ranging from complete access loss to feeds not refreshing. Meta is aware of the situation and is working to restore services. This is not the first major outage for Meta, as they experienced a similar incident in 2021 that lasted nearly six hours, causing widespread disruption.
