5 More People Die From Listeria Linked to Boar’s Head Meats, C.D.C. Says

A nationwide listeria outbreak linked to Boar's Head deli meats has resulted in nine deaths and 57 hospitalizations since May. The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has issued warnings against consuming recalled products. The recall involves around 70 products, primarily those sliced at deli counters, and the outbreak is noted as the largest since 2011.

Stock Forecasts

Given the serious health risks associated with the outbreak and the significant recall, Boar's Head's brand reputation may suffer, impacting sales. This could lead to a decline in stock value if Boar's Head (or its parent company) is publicly traded, or negatively affect related stocks in the meat and deli food sector.
