Eren Holding is investing £1 billion to transform a former paper mill in Flintshire, UK, into one of the largest cardboard and tissue production facilities in the UK, aiming to start operations next year. This new plant will be the most advanced of its kind in Europe and expected to process 25% of the UK's waste cardboard, which is currently exported for recycling. The project is supported by the UK and Welsh governments and is projected to create 220 jobs while safeguarding 147 existing ones. It signifies a significant boost for the Welsh economy and aims to turn the UK from a net importer to a net exporter of cardboard and tissue products.

Stock Forecasts

This development marks a shift in UK recycling practices, which may create a more favorable environment for companies involved in recycling and sustainable materials. As domestic production increases, there may be less reliance on overseas suppliers, potentially boosting local companies in this sector.
